and then you came back in 2019 and raised an additional $10,000

Mark was raised in the village of Fairport, NY.  He attended Fairport Schools throughout his childhood and was a 2005 graduate of Fairport High School.  Mark attended the State University of New York at Geneseo and graduated with degrees in Political Science and History in 2010. 

The funds raised from the 2018 5K run have been placed into an endowment fund at Geneseo and will begin to be used in 2021 for the Mark A Callanan Scholarship, which will be given annually. By placing the funds in the endowment, and waiting for 3 years, the fund will sustain an annual scholarship indefinitely.

The additional funds raised in 2019 will be used in part to award a scholarship before the endowment matures - a student attending Geneseo will receive a scholarship prior to 2021!

The criteria for the recipient of this scholarship will be determined jointly by Kristi, Ryan, Annie and Terry.
